About Us

The Underdog opened on the 18th September 2019 after undergoing extensive renovation both inside and out. We wanted to achieve a triangle of modern, industrial and traditional with a hint of a town bar nestled in Dronfield. To achieve this we enlisted the help of all local trades and suppliers. We have continued this ‘keeping it local’ theme throughout and use as many local suppliers as possible to help support local businesses. Dancing Anchor, Abbeydale Brewery, Triple Point Brewery, Dronfield Wine World, Bradbury’s Cheese and Bake Dronfield to name but a few. All staff are also from the Dronfield area.

We offer a wide range of Cask Ales and Craft Keg. Our Gin and Wine selections are extensive - all wines available by the glass

We plan to create our own house gin and rum with Dancing Anchor Distillery in the near future. This will be available to enjoy in the pub or to purchase to take home.

Sharing Boards

By popular demand our Meat and Cheese Sharing Boards are back.

We offer Meat and Cheese or just Cheese boards comprising of a changing selection of cured meats and cheese served with a variety of pickles, chutneys and crackers. A board will typically contain a blue, soft, cheddar and one unusual cheese. Meat options are selected from Parma, Serrano, Pastrami, Chorizo, Salami, Kabanos and baked Ham.

Vegan, Gluten Free options are available (we require these options to be booked in advance at present).

If you have severe allergies we do not recommend our boards. Please speak to staff before placing an order.
